Canon Europe has appointed Markus Naegeli as head of its business imaging group. Naegeli joined Canon in 2002 and since then has held various senior management positions in Switzerland, Germany and at Canon’s headquarters. He will be replaced as managing director in Switzerland by Servio Notermans.

Rumours from Asia claim that Xiaomi will enter the notebook market next year. The first 15″ unit is said to be under development with help from ODM partners Inventec and Foxconn. It will apparently use the Linux OS and be priced at CNY2,860 ($450) ex VAT.
