Microchip Technology has said it will not be making an offer for UK-based chipmaker CSR. In September the US company was reported to have approached CSR with an acquisition offer (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 25), having previously rejected a preliminary offer as too low.
TPK said sales in October fell 50% from October 2013 to NT$11.2 billion ($372.2 million), though this was 4.9% higher than September. Sales to date increased almost 4% to NT$128.3 billion ($4.2 billion).
