Taiwan’s two main backlight unit (BLU) manufacturers reported sequential falls in sales in January. Sony’s 4k and 3D cinema technology is now available to smaller Estonian independent cinema communities. Sony’s partner in Estonia, Miterassa Ltd., has installed several 4k projectors in a selection of smaller independent cinemas, including Sony’s SRX-R510 and SRX-R515 high-end 4k digital cinema projection systems designed for use in small and medium sized screens.
