Jasper Display Technology Demonstrates its Newest Technologies at Photonics West

Jasper Display Corp. will demonstrate its latest products and developmental technologies at Booth No. Hall D North 4007B at 2015 Photonics West, from February 10 to February 12, 2015.

Jasper Display Corp. will demonstrate its JD4704 Q4K70 microdisplay in a full color projector system, its holographic JD8714 in a phase aligned configuration, its µLED module based on its 0.55” 1080p LCOS JD4552 microdisplay, and its JD9554 Education Development Kit (EDK)

The JD4704 is an amplitude aligned microdisplay based on its 4K backplane with several choices of electro-optic mode, in this case VAN (vertically aligned nematic) high contrast mode. The demonstration vehicle is a parallel color projector configured with three JD4704 microdisplays. The driver board uses Jasper’s patent modulation system to create images of the highest quality. The JD4704 is suitable for consumer and commercial applications.

The JD8714 is a phase aligned spatial light modulator which uses the same 4K backplane used for the JD4704 above as the phase plate, JD5704. The electro-optics mode is a parallel aligned zero-twist nematic mode with alignment angle selected to be parallel to the polarization state of the illuminating light. The JD8714 is suitable for use in a number of different applications, including holographic displays, wavelength selective switches (WSS), holographic data storage (HDS) and adaptive optics.

The JD9554 Education Development Kit (EDK) is a comprehensive Spatial Light Modulator based kits for optical and photonic experiments. The kit provides a full set of equipment suitable for amplitude or phase experiments, including the phase plate, SLM driver board and other optical components needed to implement common Wave Optics and Fourier Optics. The base line SLM will be the JD5552 phase aligned microdisplay. Jasper Display offers an open source user interface software bundled with this EDK which is easy to use and allow to create professors’ own designed experiments.

Ken Tai, CEO of Jasper Display Corp., stated, “Jasper is pleased to be able to demonstrate these products and developments at Photonics West 2015. Jasper’s development and product teams have worked very hard since company operations started to take microdisplay technology to the next level. These newly developed technologies will enable a whole range of new cost efficient products developed by Jasper’s customers that incorporate our microdisplay and SLM systems.”
