Following rumours of Indian investment (Foxconn Looks at India for Expansion), Foxconn will send a delegation of officers to the country to scout for locations in the country next month. The news comes from Subhash Desai, industries minister of Maharashtra, speaking to Reuters.
China’s Irico Electronics is to build new 8.5G glass substrate back-end production facilities, at an estimated cost of $50.7 million. Tianma Micro-Electronics has chosen to use Corning’s Lotus NXT Glass for two new LTPS display panels. The glass has been used in new 5.46″ and 4.97″ products, with 1920 x 1080 resolution. The panels will be commercialised in Q3’15.
