Panasonic is supplying 180 projectors to Kingston University in the UK. The PT-RZ370 laser/LED hybrid model will be installed by GV Multimedia. The rollout represents the largest single delivery of PT-RZ370 projectors in Europe.
Stiftung Warentest, the German magazine, has named the best TVs of the year. Samsung’s UE55H7090 took second place and the UE55H8090, which has a curved screen, came in first. LG’s 47LB630V topped the Value category.
TFT panel suppliers are forecast to ship 718 million large-area (9″+) panels this year – a 3% rise compared to 2013. Earlier this month Germany celebrated 25 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, with six massive LED screens, on rails, moving around Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate. Each screen was 11m x 4.8m, with a floor-based driving system created by WIcreations.
