Sources in the Taiwanese supply chain have said that wearable shipments are expected to rise to 45-50 million units this year, up between 125% and 150% from the 20 million units in 2014. The Apple Watch will be a driving force behind the increase. Shipments hit 11.4 million in Q1’15, up 200% YoY.
