Lenovo UK has announced the sudden and immediate departure of its UK & Ireland channel director, Darren Phelps. No reason was given, though reports allege that Lenovo had amassed relatively high channel inventories in the last couple of quarters, and had not reacted quickly enough to reduce orders. Lenovo’s UK & Ireland channel will be run by Leigh Saunders, head of mid-market, until a permanent replacement for Phelps is appointed.
