AUO Building Premium TV Panels

AUO is developing 65″ LCD TV panels combining quantum dots, UltraHD resolution and HDR technology, say Taiwanese media reports. These panels will also be released in 55″ and 85″ sizes, in the second half of this year. They are curved units with a direct-LED backlight system. Local dimming and 110% NTSC gamut coverage are expected.
