A hair salon in Seoul is now using Samsung Display’s 55″ transparent mirror OLED screens: the first commercial installation of the products, anywhere in the world. The Leekaja Hairbis uses the displays as mirrors and to show off new hairstyles to clients.
South Korea’s GJM has developed a new 300mm roll-to-roll deposition system. It is capable of directly depositing both organic and inorganic materials on plastic, and can be used to mass-produce flexible OLEDs. Production can be accelerated by 50% using the new system, GJM claims.
