China’s Fujian Grand Chip Investment Fund (FGC) has offered to buy Germany’s Aixtron, for €670 million. The deal is being handled through FGC subsidiary Grand Chip Investment (GCI). Aixtron has accepted the offer, subject to shareholder and regulatory approval.

Mediatek has stuck to its current forecast of a 10% YoY revenue increase this year. Speaking at a media briefing, COO Jeffrey Ju said that the company expects revenues of about NT$71 billion ($2.2 billion) in the current quarter. India is expected to be a major growth market, as the Chinese market is slowing down.
