Dell is to sell its software business, ahead of its acquisition of EMC (Dell Pays $67 Billion for EMC). The company is selling the division to Francisco Partners and Elliott Management. A price was not shared, but Reuters – which broke the news – claims that the deal is worth more than $2 billion.

TCL has said that it (and subsidiaries) sold more 6.1 million handsets ‘and other products’ in May, rising 11% YoY. Sales volume overseas was up 24%, to 5.9 million units; Chinese shipments reached 264,000.
