Asahi Glass Result 01/08/2016

Asahi Glass reported H1 2016 net profit of 29 billion yen ($287 million), down 18% YoY from 35 billion yen ($346 million). Turnover was 624 billion yen ($6.1 billion), down 5% YoY from 658 billion yen ($6.5 billion). Net sales from Electronics, which includes LCD glass declined 17.1% to 121.6 billion yen ($1.2 billion).

Google Yet to Release Fast Play feature

A report by Android Police indicates that Google will roll out a Fast Play feature for its Chromecast device, which will make videos load instantly. Google announced the Chromecast 2 in September 2015 (Second-Gen Chromecast Seen in Leak). The Fast Play feature was originally scheduled for release early this year.

Microsoft to Cut Almost 3,000 More Jobs
