Kim Kyung-min, a researcher at LG Display’s R&D centre, has said that the company is planning to use a roll-to-roll method to create flexible OLED displays. The OLED Association (OLED-A) has predicted a 700% rise in flexible OLED capacity between 2014 and 2018. Optoma has acquired NuForce, a maker of consumer audio products. Optoma described the acquisition as a “logical progression” for the company. Optoma’s new sound range will be available across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Russia in the New Year.
