Jonney Shih, chairman of Asus USA, has said that the company intends to triple its smartphone shipments this year. That would put the company’s shipments at 25 million units. Six new markets will be added, bringing the company’s total to 20.

Tobii and EyeTech Digital Systems have entered into a royalty-bearing technology partnership which will give EyeTech access to Tobii’s patented Region-of-Interest Technology. EyeTech becomes the second licensee to receive the ability to use Tobii’s proprietary technology, which is said to be a core component of modern high-speed, power-efficient eye tracking. TCL Corporation has released its full year results, posting a net profit of $518 million, 60% higher than the previous year, on turnover of $14.4 billion, which was 18.4% higher year on year.
