Haier Uses MWC to Launch 3 New Tablets

Haier announced three new tablets at MWC 2015. The W800 is an 8″ 1280 x 800 IPS Windows 8.1 tablet with a quad core Intel processor. The device is available in selected European markets for €129. The W203 also runs Windows and has a 10.1″ IPS 1280 x 800 screen and Intel quad core processor. The tablet will be available in several European markets in April 2015 for €249. The third tablet is the HaierPad 971, a 9.7″ 2048 x 1536 (263ppi) IPS Android tablet with quadcore Arm A17/Mali-T720 GPU processor. This tablet will also be avaiable in selected European markets in April 2015 for €249.

The company also announced three new phones initially aimed at the European market.

The low end G30 Android 4.4 smartphone comes with a 4.5″ FWVGA (854 x 480) IPS display and a dual core processor. The phone will be available in spring 2015 for €79. The mid range I70 Android phone comes with a 5″ IPS 1280 x 720 screen and octacore processor. The phone will be available in spring for €179 in parts of Europe. The third phone is the higher end V5 Android phone with 5.5″ FHD display and octacore processor. This phone will also be available in the spring for €350.

In addition, Haier announced two connected smartwatch models aimed at children and seniors. The devices contain GPS modules to locate the wearer in case of emergencies and an SOS function that allows the wearer to call for help. There is no word yet about release dates and pricing.
