Microvision has received an $8 million license fee payment from its Fortune Global 100 partner – commonly assumed to be Sony (Display Monitor Vol 20 No 15). The firm said that it has received $18 million in orders, shipped since December 2014, as well as its licence fee.
Mediatek is running a competition to name the models in its new premium mobile processor family, Helio. The winner will be given CNY1 million ($161,200). The competition opens on 15th April; submissions can be sent in at http://tinyurl.com/pspvptj. Winners will be chosen in June.
