Exertis is to donate eight of Dell’s Venue 11 7130 tablets to the TechAid programme in Ghana. The tablets will be used for childrens’ education. The company is also helping to raise money to build a school in Ghana. A £50,000 ($74,000) donation, announced last year, will be completed in September.

Hisense has confirmed the appointment of Andreas Kretz as the company’s new VP of Hisense Europe and head of European R&D for smart TVs, tablets and smartphones. Prior to joining Hisense in February, Kretz worked for Jamdeo, a joint venture company between Hisense and Flextronics.
