Peerless-AV has appointed Stuart Robson-Frisby as director of business development for EMEA. He joins Peerless from ViewSonic where he most recently held the role of European product marketing manager, having also worked for Samsung and Citrix Systems.
LG Display edged out Samsung Display to become the world’s leading sub-9″ display vendor in Q4’14, IHS DisplaySearch data shows. The company had an 18.7% market share, compared to SDC’s 15.7% share. LG Chemical is to expand polariser production in China. The company will invest $100 million to expand production in Nanjing, raising annual capacity from 40 million m² to 54 million m². LG Chem also plans to build a third line in Nanjing by the first half of 2016.
Reports from Korea suggest that Samsung Display is creating an exclusive group to focus solely on Apple’s product development and management.
