Italy’s communications regulator, Agcom, has said that the country is unlikely to meet the 2020 deadline for turning the 700MHz spectrum over to the telecoms sector. Agcom’s Vincenzo Lobianco said that a switch to DVB-T2 would be long and expensive. He added that even a 2022 deadline would be “challenging”.
