Holo-Gauze has said that it supplied the technology to enable Australia’s live performance at the Eurovision Song Contest this year. Three screens were used: two 3m x 5m behind singer Dami Im and one in front of her. The screens were transparent and were used to display holographic-style effects during the show.
Ignis Innovation has signed a patent license agreement with LG Display, covering its circuit technology for use in OLED displays. The agreement is non-exclusive, but specific terms were not disclosed. Sony has decided to stop making smartphones in Brazil, which was being done through deals with Foxconn and Arima. The company took the decision due to a lack of fiscal incentives and the poor economic situation in the country. From now on, Sony will only sell imported phones in Brazil.
Foxconn chairman Terry Gou has said that his company will “carry out a series of measures to help Sharp make a turnaround as soon as possible,” after officially joining the board in July.
