In January, LG Display said that its goal was to ship 1 million OLED TV panels this year, and 1.5 million in 2017. According to Korea’s MK.co.kr, improved yield rates have led LGD to increase its target to 1.7 million panels in 2017.
Huawei has taken on Eva Wimmers as the president of Huawei Honor in Europe, and VP of Honor Global. She will be responsible for establishing the Honor smartphone brand in Europe, leading a team made up of employees from across the region. Touch specialist, TPK Holding, reported Q2 2016 net loss of NT$ 2.5 billion ($85 million), up 288% YoY from NT$ 618 million ($20 million). Turnover was NT$ 17.1 billion ($534 million). Lower shipments of client products were primarily responsible for lower production volume, and thereby losses.

The Digital Entertainment Group (DEG) has said that US consumer spending on home entertainment products was strong in Q2, up 6% YoY to $4.3 billion.
