Acer reported Q2 2016 net profit of NT$538 million ($16.7 million), up from NT$ 46 million ($1.4 million) in the previous quarter. Turnover was NT$56.1 billion ($1.7 billion), down marginally from the previous quarter. The improvement in financials was largely due to currency exchange gains of over NT$900 million ($28.6 million).

Compal Positive About the Future

Compal’s revenues fell 18.5% MoM and 5.3% YoY in July, to NT$56.9 billion ($1.8 billion). Year-to-date revenues were down 11.1% at NT$406.5 billion ($13 billion).
