Mediatek has announced its UltraCast technology which extends the Miracast Wi-Fi streaming system to support UltraHD content on the company’s Helio smartphone chipsets as well as chipsets for SmartTVs. The company said that it has a video smoothing algorithm, preserving picture quality while reducing latency between devices.
