Integrator and system supplier, AV Stumpfl, was showing a new screen system, called the T-shift leg, that has been designed to allow existing Monoblock 32 or Monoclip 32 projection screen frames to be assembled and aligned by a single person – the previous version needed one person at each side and used a screwed fixing method. The new leg system uses a ratchet mechanism so that one side can be set and fixed at a time. There is a video online from when the system was shown at ISE.
AV Stumpfl was one of the small number of companies showing projection technology and had an unusual combination of dual Insight 4K projectors from Digital Projection and some direct view 3.9mm LEDs. It was also showing how its Wings 8K server can be used with any display technology to create presentations.
The firm also was showing its automatic alignment system for projectors which can use almost any camera (the demo at the show used a low cost Logitech unit). The alignment system can be manually operated or designed to be triggered by a process such as a timer.
AV Stumpfl also sells professional media players and has both FullHD players and a solid state DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) media player. The company told us that it is seeing sales volumes of media players increasing as prices for this kind of product come down.
