Eutelsat has High Penetration in Italy

Eutelsat said that Italy has the highest average viewing time of linear TV in Europe at four hours and 40 minutes per day. The company claims that 8.4 million homes receive signals from Eutelsat’s Hotbird satellites, with 7.54 million accessing FTA content from the 345 Italian channels on the platform. A further 763,000 homes are equipped to watch foreign-language channels from other Eutelsat neighbourhoods. There are 100 HD channels on Hotbird and one in UltraHD. A total of 2.8million homes are equipped for DTH reception of the Tivùsat free-to-view platform that now offers viewers 14 HD channels and RAI 4K, Italy’s first Ultra HD channel that is currently broadcasting the prestigious drama series ‘Medici: Masters of Florence’.
