We managed to get a few hours at the Electronic Displays Conference in Nuremberg which runs alongside the Embedded World trade show. This is an interesting show for industrial applications of displays, but both events typically take place in the same week as the Mobile World Congress, which makes covering it more difficult than we would like. However, each has its own audience and clearly the organisers use the same algorithm to calculate when to hold the events (although next year, they are a couple of weeks apart!).
We have reported on some of the talks that we managed to catch and we had a couple of hours on the show floor. There’s a special area of the show that is advertised as the “display area”. A good number of German display integrators and touch developers were in the area. At the conference, the big topic was the Sharp/Foxconn deal which was announced during the event (and seemed to be changing every few hours!).
We managed to get some good stories and we hope you enjoy our coverage.
