ZTE Corp and Turksat, the biggest cable service operator in Turkey, announced that they have jointly released a new HD Hybrid STB. The companies have been working together for over two years and the new box passed acceptance testing at the end of August, with deployment starting last month. The box is based on a Broadcom chipset and features live TV recording, time shift TV, PIP, OTT VOD, and voice search and control.

Although ZTE said that the box has started deployment, it is advertised as ‘coming soon’ by Turksat. (BR)
