VR First Programme Developing

We reported on the VR First initiative at IFA last year. The organisation said that it now has 26 labs operating in the US, Europe, Asia and Oceania and will bring the number up to 40 by the end of the year. The organisation has fifty projects, now, most of them not games. There is a video below.

The two main VR platforms, the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift each have 31% support, with other platforms much smaller. The most widely used engine is Unity (48%), followed by Unreal (20%) and then CryEngine (14%). In A/R, the main platform is Microsoft’s Hololens (43%).
