Vodafone Spain’s is to offer an additional service based on the latest version of the TiVo platform and will include five UltraHD channels plus UltraHD coverage of La Liga football and Netflix content. The new channels that will be available include Odisea 4K, Festival 4K in Dolby Digital sound, Funbox UHD, Insight TV and SlowChannel in UHD. Vodafone Spain already uses a TiVo platform for its cable TV service.
Overall, Vodafone Spain’s TV offering will be 120 TV channels, including the Videoclub on-demand offering, HBO España and Netflix and over 20,000 titles and episodes will be available to subscribers.
Also being introduced is support for multiple simultaneous cloud-based DVR recordings that can be accessed from multiple set-top boxes in the home.
The new service will be available from 1st March 2017. Existing subscribers will be able to acquire the new equipment for €30.
