SmallHD Has OLED & P3 Monitors

SmallHD, a Vitec company, has two new broadcast monitors, the 1703-P3 and the 702OLED. The 702OLED is an update to the 702 Bright and has a 7.7″ OLED display. The product, which has resolution of 1280 x 800 (191ppi/16:10) and with brightness of 300 cd/m² and with a wide colour gamut. 3G-SDI and HD-SDI, HDMI, component and composite inputs are supported, with SDI and HDMI available as outputs as well. The monitor will cost $1,499 and is available in North America only. There is a special pre-order bundle for early orders before the monitor ships in March.

The 1703-P3 is claimed to be ‘the most rugged 17″ monitor and is based on a 17″ IPS panel with 450 cd/m² of output. Gamut, as you might guess from the name, is 100% of DCI-P3. Contrast is 1,500:1 and 10 bit colour is supported. There are two SDI 3G inputs and outputs and HDMI in and out. The monitor supports custom LUTs and has a studio 100 cd/m² mode and costs $3,999.
