Promethean had a big area in the hall and was also in the executive suites where it was talking about general technology developments from its parent company, NetDragon Websoft. Most of the news was in the software area, but there were new displays. New at the show was the ActivPanel I Series which will be available in 65″ and 75″ (the ActivPanel series is also in 70″ and 86″), exploiting the FlatFrog InGlass technology for touch. The system has OPS and Android or Windows modules are available. The 65″ is FullHD resolution (the only FullHD model in the range, now), while the 75″ is UltraHD.
As well as the hardware features, Promethean highlighted the managability of the displays which can be controlled with GoogleTM G-Suite, VMware Airwatch and Radix Viso.
Analyst Comment
As we discussed with several other brands, the I Series for Promethean is a ‘fighter’ range to allow the company to compete where price is the key decider, rather than function or performance. (BR)
