AMD has announced a new driver for its GPUs and APUs that challenges Nvidia technologies. Namibian public broadcaster NBC will turn off analogue broadcasts on 31st January next year. The date represents a slight delay to the original date (15th December) after an appeal to ensure that enough decoders have been sold.
‘At least’ half of the members of the The Africa Telecommunications Union (ATU) will not meet the June 2015 analogue switch-off date, the organisation has said. Reasons for the delays include public resistance, lack of commitment by governments and resistance from private broadcasting firms.
