LEDinside, a division of Trendforce, has predicted that global production value of LED-backlit tablets and LCD TVs will fall 21.7% and 14.3% YoY, respectively, this year. The products’ production value will be $476 million (tablets) and $2.4 billion (TVs).
In Q1’15, Taiwan’s G-Tech Optoelectronics will begin to produce 3D-forming glass (using materials from Corning) for use in vehicles and smartphone screens.
