32″ Panel Prices on The Rise

32″ LCD TV panel prices have risen 25% since March 2014, to $95, say Asian supply chain sources. Prices have been driven up by demand from Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics. The increase has mainly benefited the main producers of 32″ panels: China Star Optoelectronics Technology and BOE. CSOT’s 32″ panel shipments are expected to reach 18 million this year. Both BOE and CSOT are bringing new G8.5 lines into commission next year.
