At the recent Interop Las Vegas Expo, DisplayLink showed a dock that connected to a new Macbook, Chromebook Pixel 2 and Windows notebook via USB-C, and existing notebooks, tablets and Android smartphones through USB-A. DisplayLink was highlighting USB’s flexibility and simplicity across connections and operating systems.
Kopin has secured a $1.8 million follow-on production order from the US government, for a high-brightness microdisplay. The displays, which will be supplied over a 15-month period, will be used in the F-35 Helmet-Mounted Display System from Rockwell Collins.
