NEC Corporation has released its fourth quarter and full year results, posting a 14.3% drop in net profit to ¥34.5 billion ($289.5 million) from ¥48.8 billion ($409.5 million) in Q4 of the previous year, while turnover fell 2.7% to ¥933.5 billion ($7.8 billion) from ¥959.6 billion ($8 billion) a year earlier. For the year, NEC reported a net profit of ¥57.3 billion ($480.8 million) on turnover of ¥2.9 trillion ($24.3 billion), which compares with a net profit in the previous year of ¥33.7 billion ($282.8 million) on turnover of ¥3 trillion ($25.2 billion).
