Xiaomi Smartphones Rise 4 Million YoY
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has said that the company shipped almost 15 million smartphones in Q1’15, compared to 11 million in Q1’14.

Quanta Computer posted a net profit in Q1 of NT$3.7 billion ($121.5 million), down 32.1% sequentially and 21.5% year on year, while turnover was down 18.5% quarter on quarter and 4.9% YoY at NT$205.2 billion ($6.7 billion).
Wistron Result 21/05/2015
Wistron Corporation recorded a net profit of NT$723 million ($23.7 million) on turnover of NT$15.1 billion ($496 million) in the first quarter of the year. The company’s net profit was 111.4% higher than Q1 of last year.

MSI Denies Lenovo Interest
Micro-Star International (MSI) has strongly denied reports that it is in talks with Lenovo to sell its gaming notebook business. Rumours had been circulating suggesting that Lenovo was interested in acquiring the unit to raise its competitiveness in the gaming notebook industry. Lenovo is a major client of MSI’s ODM/OEM business.
TDF to test DVB-T2 in France
French telco TDF has been given permission by the French TV regulator, the CSA, to trial a new platform. TDF is currently trialling the DTT service B2M (Broadcast Mobile Multimedia), and will modify the broadcasts to use DVB-T2 and eMBMS.
