German media authorities have decided that platform operators in the country do not have to distribute TV channels’ HbbTV services. The decision was made following ARD’s complaints that Kabel Deutschland was filtering out its HbbTV signals ahead of cable carriage.
Deutsche Bank has forecast 45 million unit sales for Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge smartphones this year – compared to Samsung’s own prediction of 70 million units (Samsung Expects Big Things of S6). The figure would be the same as Samsung’s previous most-popular flagship, the S4.

Amazon is now streaming HDR content on its Prime VoD service in the USA. Plans were announced at NAB this year (Amazon to Offer HDR Content). Currently, content availability is limited to Samsung’s SUHD TVs. No technical details were shared.
