Free Antennas Promote DTT
TV Freedom and Antennas Direct have given away more than 300 indoor antennas in San Francisco. The companies are seeking to promote DTT, as an alternative to cable and satellite services.
NOS Follows Vodafone
Shortly after Vodafone’s introduction of an UltraHD TV channel in Portugal, local operator NOS has done the same. ‘Hispasat 4k’ will show nature, wildlife and history documentaries, while ‘NOS 4k Ultra HD’ will show music, drama and mini documentary shows. Customers must own an UltrahD with an HEVC decoder.
FujiTV Uses New P2P Technology for 4k Streaming
Tokyo-based startup Mist Technologies has launched an UltraHD streaming service with FujiTV – Japan’s largest TV network. The service represents Japan’s first commercial UltraHD broadcasting system.
