Lee Cheng-Chung, deputy general director at Taiwan’s ITRI, has said that the organisation will show a 7″ foldable AMOLED display at Touch Taiwan 2015 (26th – 28th August). ITRI’s AMOLED display will have 1920 x 1080 resolution. The panel was described as a ‘5mm’ unit, which we assume refers to the bend radius.
China’s Everdisplay has developed a 6″ UltraHD AMOLED display, with 734 ppi. It is the first-such display to be demonstrated, according to OLED-Info, and is aimed at applications such as VR.
