Samsung Eliminates Frame Tearing With AMD

A 32″ UltraHD monitor, supporting AMD’s Freesync technology, has been launched by Samsung. The U32E850R is designed as a productivity/gaming tool, with a large screen and AMD’s anti-tearing feature.

The monitor uses Samsung’s own implementation of IPS technology (PLS), with 178° viewing angles, 4ms response time and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. Brightness is 350 cd/m². The monitor has a 60Hz maximum refresh rate.

DisplayPort, mini-DisplayPort, HDMI (x2, supporting UltraHD at 60fps) and USB 3.0 (x4) inputs are featured. The stand supports swivel, tilt and height adjustment.

Samsung is selling the monitor now, for $1,200.
