Amazon Sticks With Mediatek

Amazon’s new Fire TV, as well as its Fire HD 8 and Fire HD 10 tablets, are powered by Mediatek processors, the company has announced. The MT8173, a 64-bit quad-core processor based on ARM’s Cortex-A72 cores, runs the Fire TV. The tablets, meanwhile, use Mediatek’s MT8135 quad-core processor.
