Dolby Labs reported Q1 2016 net profit of $30.9 million, down from $41.4 million YoY, a decline of nearly 26%. Turnover for the period was $240.9 billion, up just under 3% from $234.2 million.
Atlona is to open an office in Hong Kong in February, to serve the Asian market. The office will cover China, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea and the rest of Southeast Asia – excluding Japan, India, Australia and New Zealand. Marco Wong has been named as the general manager of the new office.

Du, a telecom provider in the UAE, has announced plans to launch its own UltraHD broadcast service. The company said that it has already agreed partnerships with several studios and facilities for content upgrades and UltraHD video production. The service is expected to be launched at the end of March.
