Canatu is celebrating another customer win for its carbon nanotube (CNB) Flex Film. The film, which detects touch signals, is used on the flexible OLED display of a customer’s curved wearable device. (However, Canatu didn’t say who the customer is)
Analogix Semiconductor has announced LG’s G5 smartphone and LG 360 VR headset both feature SlimPort connectivity. The technology provides DisplayPort over USB-C, and is used to enable VR in the headset. The phone uses Analogix’s ANX7816 transmitter and ANX7418 USB-C switch and controller; the 360 VR uses the ANX7737 converter and ANX7402 USB-C controller.
According to France’s Distributique, Ingram Micro France has dismissed new head Pierre-Yvon Méchali, just nine months after his appointment. Informitv’s quarterly Multiscreen Index shows that most pay-TV operators are gaining subscribers.
