LG Enables VR Through SlimPort

Analogix Semiconductor has announced LG’s G5 smartphone and LG 360 VR headset both feature SlimPort connectivity. The technology provides DisplayPort over USB-C, and is used to enable VR in the headset. The phone uses Analogix’s ANX7816 transmitter and ANX7418 USB-C switch and controller; the 360 VR uses the ANX7737 converter and ANX7402 USB-C controller.
