Vaio has signed with new distributors in the US: two in the New York area and one covering the global market. In New York, B&H Photo Video and DataVision will carry Vaio’s notebooks, while Ingram Micro will stock them worldwide.
Panasonic has supplied 140 of its TH-55LFV5 displays (1920 x 1080, 55″, 500 cd/m²) for an installation at Milano Salone 2016 (12th – 17th April). The installation is named ‘Kukan – The Invention of Space’, and features seven pillars – each more than 6m high – covered in the screens.

Nanoco group reported widening of first half 2016 net loss at £5.24 million ($7.5 million), up by 65% YoY from £3.15 million ($4.5 million). Turnover for the period was £290,000 ($417,600), down 82% YoY from £1.6 million ($2.3 million).

Samsung has sold more than 1 million curved monitors, worldwide, since introducing its first model (SD590C) two years ago. The news was shared by SVP of visual display Seog-gi Kim. IDC estimates that the firm has a curved monitor market share of more than 85% globally.
Earnings guidance for LG Electronics has shown that the company expects Q1’16 to be its best trading period in almost two years. Its operating profit is projected to rise 66% YoY. Acer’s revenues rose 50% MoM in March, to NT$24.3 billion ($750.7 million). However, the yearly comparison was down 1.9%. In the year-to-date, Acer has made revenues of NT$56.1 billion ($1.7 billion), down 17.3% YoY.
