Vuzix has signed an agreement with action camera brand GoPro, gaining access to to the GoPro Developer Programme toolkits. Vuzix has developed the capability to connect its M300 smart glasses to GoPro cameras. Multiple cameras can be connected and controlled from one pair of glasses.

Crystal Display Systems is now a distributor for Portuguese company Displax, which manufactures after-market touch films. CDS will stock Displax products across the UK and the rest of Europe.
Himax has said that its HX8396-C display driver IC is being used in the HTC 10 smartphone. The chip is designed for high-end TFT-LCD phone displays. Neither Himax nor HTC said why the IC was chosen, although the device is intended to lower the power consumption of the application processor to extend battery life.
