LGD Begins Installation at Flexible OLED Line

LG Display has begun to install equipment at its sixth-generation E5 flexible OLED line in Korea, releasing the photo you see here. The plant will be used to create plastic OLED displays, with operation beginning in the first half of 2017. Monthly capacity will be 7,500 substrates (around 1.5 million 5.5″ displays).

LG and VW Work on Connected Cars

LG and Volkswagen have agreed a memorandum of understanding to develop a connected car service platform. They will work together to develop VR’s cross-over platform “to enhance vehicle connectivity and convenience”. The platform will be able to be used by drivers to access smart home and location-based services from their vehicles, using the cloud.
