Optoma in the US announced the ZU510T-W, a 1920 x 1200 projector based on a laser phosphor light source with 5,500 (centre) and 5,300 Ansi lumens of output and using a single 0.67″ DC3 DLP chip. Contrast is claimed at 1,800:1 (full on/full off). Throw ratio from the fixed lens is 1.2-2.13 and the unit is rated for images from 27.9″ (70.8cm) to 301.8″ (766 cm) at 1.3m / 4.3ft – 7.8m / 25.5ft, which is a zoom of 1.8:1. Uniformity is 85%. Power consumption is 480W and noise 35dB (29dB in Eco [320W] mode).
The projector has 10% horizontal and +20% vertical lens shift.
The projector runs in portrait or landscape mode and is rated for 24/7 operation. The optical path is sealed for long life. Features include dual 10W speakers and inputs include dual HDMI (both with MHL) and VGA (with loop-through). Control is via infrared remote or RS-232 as well as having a 12V trigger.
